Christine "Chris" Helinger is a judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was elected to this position on November 7, 2006 (effective the following January) to replace retired Judge Crockett Farnell. She was re-elected in 2012 and her current term expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3][4]

Biography and Education

Helinger was born in Chicago, IL. She graduated from the Stetson University College of Law in 1980.[5]

She is married to fellow circuit judge Jack Helinger.[6]

Career

Helinger worked as an assistant public defender for 25 years (the last nine of which were part-time) prior to her election to the Circuit Court bench in 2006.[2]

2012 election

Helinger was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[7]
