Ernest W. Jones is a Utah Second Judicial District judge for Weber County for the Ogden District Court.[1] Jones was first appointed to this position in August 2000.[2] His current term expires in 2016.[3]

Education

Jones received his J.D. from the University of Utah School of Law in 1974.[2]

Career

Jones worked as Clinton City attorney, for the Utah Attorney General's Office, the Weber County Attorney's Office, and the law firm of Olmstead, Stine and Campbell. He then worked for the Salt Lake County District Attorneys Office from 1980 to 2000. Jones was appointed to the Second District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in August of 2000.[2]
