Frank C. Damrell, Jr. was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He joined the court in 1997 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. Damrell served on senior status from December 31, 2008, until his retirement on December 31, 2011.
Damrell began his legal career as a deputy attorney general with the California Attorney General's Office from 1964 to 1966. Next, he served as a deputy district attorney in the California District Attorney's Office from 1966 to 1968. Damrell spent the rest of his legal career as a private practice attorney licensed in the State of California from 1968 to 1997.

On the recommendation of Senators Dianne Feinstien and Barbara Boxer, Damrell was nominated by President Bill Clinton on July 24, 1997, to a seat vacated by Judge Edward Garcia as Garcia assumed senior status. Damrell was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on November 9, 1997, and received commission on November 12, 1997. Damrell later assumed senior status on December 31, 2008. Damrell served on senior status until his retirement on December 1, 2011.
