Hope Schwartz Zimmerman is a justice for the Nassau County Supreme Court in New York.[1] She was elected to the court in 2013 for a term that expires in 2027.[2]

Education

Schwartz Zimmerman received her B.A. from Rhode Island College in 1968, her M.A. from New York University in 1970 and her J.D. from the Hofstra University, School of Law in 1986.[1]

General: She was elected in the general election on November 5, 2013, with 14.20% of the vote. John Michael Galasso, Paul E. Hennings, Matthew G. Hughes, Arthur G. Pitts, David T. Reilly and Gary J. Weber were also on the ballot, competing for 4 open seats.[2][3][4][5]

Schwartz Zimmerman ran unsuccessfully for election to the 10th District Supreme Court in 2012. She was one of twelve candidates running for six seats in the general election on November 6, 2012. She ran on the Democratic and Working Families party tickets, receiving 8.12% of the vote.[6][7]
