James M. Varga is a judge on the Cook County 4th Subcircuit in Illinois. He was elected to the circuit court in 1994. His current term expires in December of 2018.[1][2]

Education

Varga is a graduate of the Notre Dame Law School.[1]

Career

Varga is a former felony prosecutor and supervisor for the Medical Litigation Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. He also worked as a private practice attorney prior to joining the Circuit Court in 1994.[1]

2012 election

Varga was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 with 75.9% of the vote.[3][4]
