J. Mac Davis is a judge of the Waukesha County Circuit Court in Wisconsin.[1] Davis was elected to the court in 1990.[2] He was most recently retained in 2008 to a term that expires in 2015.[3] He has announced that he will not run for re-election again, and will retire when his current term ends in August 2015.[4]

Davis also served as the chief judge of the 3rd Judicial District.[5] He was relieved of that position in June 2012, however, after serving the maximum six-years as chief.[6]

Education

Davis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1973 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1976.[2]

Career

Federal judicial nomination

Davis was nominated to the federal judiciary by George W. Bush, but the nomination was blocked by the Senate.[7]
