Patricia Bamattre-Manoukian is an associate justice on the Sixth District of the California Courts of Appeal. She was appointed to this position by Governor George Deukmejian and was confirmed on October 16, 1989. She served as the Acting Administrative Presiding Justice of this court from September 2001 to January 2003 Her current term on the court expires on January 5, 2015.
Justice Bamattre-Manoukian graduated from UCLA with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology in 1972 and later graduated from USC in 1974 with her Masters in Public Administration In 1977, Bamattre-Manoukian graduated from Loyola Marymount Law with her Juris Doctor degree and later returned to USC in which she graduated with a Ph.D. in Public Administration in 1989.
Bamattre-Manoukian spent her entire pre-judicial legal career as a Deputy District Attorney for the Orange County District Attorney's Office from 1977 to 1983 in which Bamattre-Manoukian prosecuted cases focused on homicide, career criminals, juvenile, writs and appeals, felonies, and misdemeanors.

Bamattre-Manoukian served close to two years as a Superior Court Judge on the Santa Clara County Superior Court from 1988 to 1989 and served as the Family Law Supervising Judge of the Santa Clara County Superior Court in 1989.
