Rufus G. King, III is a senior judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.[1]


King received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1966 and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1971.[1]


King began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Austin L. Fickling and Judge William C. Pryor. Prior to joining the court, King spent the majority of his legal career in private practice.[1]
