Scott A. Farr is a judge of the Hillsborough County Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by former Governor Charlie Crist on July 22, 2010. He was re-elected in 2012 and his current term expires on January 8, 2019. He also serves on the 13th Judicial Circuit Court.[1][2][3]


Farr received his B.S. degree from Auburn University in 1979 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1982.[1]


Farr began his career in 1983 as an assistant state attorney in the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida. From 1986 to 1990, he was an assistant statewide prosecutor in Orlando. He then entered the private practice of law, working with Zelman and Farr from 1990 to 1991 and as a partner of Cotter, Valerino, Zelman and Farr from 1992 to 1994. He was the chief-assistant attorney general in Tampa from 1994 until he was appointed to the county court in 2010.[1][2]

2012 election

Farr was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the November 6, 2012 general election.[4][3]
