State court budgets and judicial salaries

State court budgets and judicial salaries vary substantially across the country. Typically, the governor submits a proposed budget (or, Executive Budget) to the legislature, which then writes and passes the final bill. These laws are commonly called Appropriations Acts. The fiscal year is from July 1 to June 30.
