Tamila E. Ipema is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. She was appointed by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in January 2009 to succeed Jan Goldsmith. Ipema was re-elected in 2010 and her current term will expire in 2017.[1]

Education

Ipema received a bachelor's degree from Damavand College. She earned a J.D. and an M.A. from the University of Louisville. Ipema also received a LL.M. from Georgetown University.[2]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County, Ipema was a commissioner for the court. Before obtaining this position, Ipema worked as a commissioner and supervising research attorney for the Los Angeles County Superior Court.[1]

2010 election

Ipema was re-elected to another 6 year term in 2010.[3]
