Edelman began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge William B. Bryant of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Next, he spent two years as a Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center. For three years, Edelman was Of Counsel for Bredhoff & Kaiser, PLLC. In 2008, he became a clinical professor at Georgetown Law School, after spending four years as an adjunct professor.
Superior Court nomination
In June 2010, Judge Edelman was nominated by President Obama to serve as an Associate Justice for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. His nomination was confirmed on June 22, 2010.
