Alan B. Jones is a judge on the Second District Court in Colorado. He was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter in 2010. His first term will expire after two years. If he wishes continue serving, he will have to run for retention at that time. [1]

Education

Jones received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1978 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. [1]

Career

After graduating from law school, Jones clerked for a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Next he went into private practice, where he spent most of his legal career. [1]
