Alan L. Brodbeck is a judge in the Nebraska County Courts, District 8.
Education
Judge Brodbeck received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dana College 1973 and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law 1976. [1]
Legal career
Judge Brodbeck started his legal career in private practice in Neligh, Nebraska from 1977-1984. During the same time he also served as the Antelope County Attorney. In 1984, Brodbeck became County Judge for the 8th Judicial District (formerly 15th District). In that capacity, Brodbeck is responsible for Blaine, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, Howard, Loup, Keya Paha, Rock, Sherman, Valley & Wheeler counties. [1]
Judicial Qualifications Commission
Judge Brodbeck is a judge member of the Nebraska Judicial Qualifications Commission, which is charged with selecting Supreme Court Justices and filling other judicial vacancies in Nebraska. He was appointed to serve on the Commission by Republican Governor Dave Heineman in 2005. [1]
