Alaska Judicial Council evaluates applicants for Fourth District vacancy
BETHEL, Alaska: The four applicants who've applied for the superior court vacancy on the Fourth Judicial District, have been reviewed by the Alaska Judicial Council. The vacancy was created by the unexpected death of Marvin Charles Hamilton III who served as a superior court judge in Bethel, Alaska.
After public meetings in October and November the most qualified applicants will be sent on to the Governor. The four applicants are: Chuck Ray, David Avraham Voluck, Angela Greene, and Matthew Widmer. In a survey by attorneys, Chuck Ray and David and Avraham Voluck received a rating of 4.1 out of 5 while Angela Greene and Matthew Widmer each received a 3.4.
