Alaska Judicial Council nominates Judge Levy and Attorney Menendez for superior court judgeship

Alaska: Last Monday the Alaska Judicial Council nominated Keith Levy and Louis James Menendez for judgeship on the Juneau Superior Court.[1]

Judge Levy is a district judge for the Alaska First District who was appointed on January 24, 2005, by former Governor Frank Murkowski.[2][3] He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University. [4]

Attorney Menendez is head of the Menendez Law Firm and specializes in criminal defense and personal injury. He is a graduate from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. [5]

Within the next 45 days Governor Sean Parnell will pick one the nominees to replace Judge Patricia Collins, who is scheduled to retire this June.[1]
