Alex T. Howard, Jr. (1924-2011) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.

Howard was nominated by President Reagan on September 23, 1986, to a seat created by 98 Stat. 333. He was confirmed by the Senate on October 8, and received commission on October 14, 1986. From 1989 to 1994, he was the chief judge and on October 21, 1996, he assumed senior status. He died on February 10, 2011.
