Amy P. Hathaway is a judge of the 3rd Circuit Court (Family Division) in Wayne County, Michigan. She has served in this position since 1995, following her election.[1] She was re-elected in 2000[2] and 2006.[3] Her current 6-year term ends on January 1, 2013.

2012 election

Hathaway is one of 17 candidates competing for 16 seats on the 3rd Circuit Court. Only one candidate is a non-incumbent.Nine non-incumbent challengers will compete for three positions in the primary election on August 7, 2012. [4]

Education

Hathaway received his B.A. degree from Marshall University in 1981 and her J.D. degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1987.[1]

Legal career

Hathaway began his career in 1986 working in corporate and securities law for Dykema Gossett, PLLC. In 1992, he became Assistant Corporation Counsel for Wayne County and the City of Detroit. He worked in that position until 1994. In 1995, he joined the Circuit Court.[1]
