Amy Krause is a judge on the Fourth District Court of Appeals in Michigan.[1] She was appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm in November 2010 to succeed Alton Davis. She took office on February 24, 2011 and her term expires on January 1, 2015.[2][3]
Education
Judge Krause earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.[2]
Career
Judge Krause began her legal career in private practice, and then served for eight years as an assistant prosecuting attorney. In 1997, she was appointed an assistant attorney general, a job she held for six years. Prior to her term on the Michigan Court of Appeals, she was a judge on the Michigan 54A Judicial District Court for almost eight years.[4]

Judge Krause was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]

Judge Krause was elected to the 54A District Court (along with Judge Louise Alderson) in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 55.90% of the vote. [7]
