Andrew J. Gleeson is a judge of the 20th Circuit Court in Illinois. He serves as the St. Clair County Resident Judge. He was elected on Nov. 6, 2012 for a term that expires in December of 2018.[1][2]

Education

Gleeson received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from St. Louis University. He was admitted to the Bar in 1985.[3]

Career

Gleeson was an assistant public defender from 1991 to 1998. He then served as a St. Clair County Public Defender until December of 2003, when he was appointed an Associate Judge of the 20th Circuit Court. He was elected a Circuit Judge in 2012.[4]

2012 election

Gleeson was elected without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012. There were no candidates in the Republican primary, so he will also be unopposed in the Nov. 6 general election.[5][6]
