Andrew S. Blum is a judge on the Lake County Superior Court in California. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 1, 2010. [1]

Education

Blum received his B.A. from California Lutheran University and his J.D. from the University of California, San Fransciso Hastings College of Law. [1]

Career

Blum has held many positions of public service. After graduating from law school, he served as a research attorney for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. After serving there for a year, he became a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. In 1989, he served in the Lake County District Attorney's Office and then became chief deputy district attorney in 1992. He served in this capacity until 1997, when he became assistant attorney general, then attorney general for Kosrae State, Micronesia. In 2001, Blum became a high school English teacher, which he did for a year, until joining the Commission on Judicial Performance in 2003.[1]
