Anita L. Kelly

Anita Lee Kelly is a judge of Circuit 15 in Montgomery County, Alabama.[1] She was first elected to this position on November 2, 2004.
Biography
Judge Kelly graduated from the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law.[2] She was admitted to practice on April 29, 1991.[3]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Anita Kelly worked as Associate Counsel for the law firm of Thomas, Means and Gillis, P.C. During her time working for this firm, she also spent four years as a referee for Montgomery County’s Family and Juvenile Court division. From 1998 until her election to the Circuit Court in 2004, she worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Alabama State Department of Education.[3]
