Early life and education
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Conway graduated from John Carroll University with her Bachelor's degree in 1972 and later graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with a Juris Doctor, J.D., degree in 1975. [1]
Professional career
Conway was a law clerk for the Honorable John Reed, Jr., in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida from 1975 to 1977 before entering private practice in the State of Florida from 1978 to 1991. [1]
Judicial career
Middle District of Florida
Conway was nominated to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida by President George H.W. Bush on July 24, 1991 to a seat vacated by George Carr as Carr went on senior status. Conway was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on November 21, 1991 on a senate vote and received commission on November 25, 1991.[2] She has served as chief judge of the court since 2008. [1]
