Anne E. Lazarus is a judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. She was elected in 2009 to a term expiring in 2019.

Education

Lazarus received her B.A. degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1972 and her J.D. and LL.M. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1976 and 1986, respectively. [1]

Career

Prior to her election to the Superior Court, Lazarus served on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas from 1991 to 2010. From 1980 to 1991, she was Legal Counsel to the Philadelphia Orphans' Court. [1]

Lazarus ran for one of the four open seats on the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2009. [2] She received 19.2% of the vote (293,095) on the May 19, 2009 Democratic primary election. [3] She was elected in the general election. [4] [5]
