Anthony Cannataro is a judge on the New York City Civil Court of New York County, New York. He was elected in 2011. Cannataro is currently assigned as an acting judge of the Kings County Family Court. His current term ends in 2021.[3]
Education
Cannataro received his B.A. degree from Columbia University in 1993 and his J.D. degree from New York Law School in 1996.[3]
Career
Cannataro began his legal career in 1996 as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department, Office of the Corporation Counsel and departed in 2000 as Senior Counsel. From 2000 - 2003 he served as senior law clerk to Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick at the State of New York Court of Appeals, New York's court of last resort. He then worked as principal law clerk to Lottie Wilkins at the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York from 2003 until his election in 2011.

Cannataro received 65% of the vote in the Democratic primary for the New York City Civil Court, 3rd District, while his opponent Sabrina B. Kraus received only 33% of the vote. [4]
