Anthony Kane

Anthony T. Kane is a judge on the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department. He has served on this division since July 31, 2002 and will retire in 2009.[1] [2]
Biography
Judge Kane graduated from Iona College and Cornell Law School. He is now married.[1]
Legal career
Judge Kane worked from 1970 to 1985 as a private practice lawyer in Sullivan County. He also worked as the Town Attorney for Forestburgh, NY from 1976 to 1984. After this, he was elected to the Sullivan County Family Court. In 1992, he was elected as Sullivan County Judge and Surrogate. He was elected to the Supreme Court of the State of New York in 1995. He served as the resident Supreme Court Justice in Sullivan County from January of 1996 until his appointment to the Appellate Division.[1]
