Arlene Rosario Lindsay is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She was appointed to this position in 1994.[1]
Education
Judge Lindsay graduated from the University of Dayton in 1968 with a B.A. degree and from New York University in 1975 with a J.D. degree.[1]
Career
Judge Lindsay began her career in 1975 as an Assistant Bronx District Attorney. She then became an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York in 1978. In 1983, she became a Deputy Suffolk Attorney and in 1988, she became a Town Attorney for Huntington, New York. She was then appointed the Chief of the White Collar Crime and Complex Litigation Section for the Suffolk County District Attorneys Office in 1990. Later that year, she returned to the position of Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. She worked in this position as Chief of the Long Island Division until she was appointed to the U.S. District Court in 1994. She also works as an adjunct professor at Touro Law School.[1]
