Arlene Singer

Arlene Singer is a judge on the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals. She was elected to this position on November 5, 2002 and took office on February 10, 2003.[1] She ran unopposed and was re-elected to a 6-year term on November 4, 2008.[2] She will be up for re-election again in 2014, when that term ends.[3]
Biography
Justice Singer was born in Toledo, Ohio.[4] She graduated from the University of Toledo in 1972 with a B.A. degree and from Toledo's College of Law in 1976 with a J.D. degree. She is now married and has two children.[5]
Legal career
After law school, Justice Singer began her legal career as a private practice lawyer. She was later elected to the Ohio General Assembly. After one term in this position, she became an assistant Lucas County prosecutor in 1989. Almost two years later, in 1990, she was appointed to the Toledo Municipal Court. She held this position for 12 years before her election to the Court of Appeals in 2002.[4][5]
