Biography
Rothenberg was born in New York, NY on March 3, 1943. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Miami in 1964 and his J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1967.[1][3]
Career
Rothenberg began his career in 1967 as an Assistant Attorney General in Dade County. He became an Assistant State Attorney in 1968 and an Assistant Public Defender in 1969. He then worked as an Assistant U.S. Public Defender in the Pacific Islands of Micronesia from 1973 to 1977. He then taught at Merritt College (Oakland, CA) as a paralegal instructor until 1980, when he entered the private practice of law in Miami. In 1985, he joined the Miami-Dade County Court and, in 1987, he was elevated to the Circuit Court.[1][3]
