Education
Donalty received his B.A. degree from Manhattan College in 1968 and his J.D. degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law in 1971.[1][2]
Legal career
Donalty began his career in January of 1972 as an Assistant Oneida County District Attorney. He then worked as a New York Assistant Attorney General (in the Organized Crime Task Force) from April of 1978 to December of 1981. In 1980 and 1981, he was also cross-designated as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York. He then returned to serve in Oneida County as a District Attorney through 1993. In January of 1994, he joined the Oneida County Court and, in February of 2000, he became the supervising judge of the Criminal Term of the 5th Judicial District.[1]
