Benjamin F. Gibson (1931-present) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Gibson was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on July 12, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 25, 1979, and received commission the next day. From 1991-1995, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on July 13, 1996. He served the Western District of Michigan until his retirement on January 31, 1999. [1]
