Benjamin N. Smith is the judge of Texas District 380.[1] He was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry in August 2012 to the position.[2]

Education

Smith received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from Boston University.[2]

Career

When Smith was appointed to the bench, he was working as an attorney practicing privately. He also previously served as chief felony prosecutor in the Collin County DA Office and former assistant district attorney for Kaufman County.[2]
