Bernard J. Fried was a justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2010 after serving as an acting Supreme Court justice since 1984. He was then certificated in 2011. He retired in July 2012. [1][2] [3]

Education

Fried received his law degree from the Brooklyn Law School.[1]

Legal career

Fried's judicial career began in 1980, when he was appointed judge of the New York City Criminal Court. He was reappointed to this position in 1990, 2000 and 2010. In 1984, he became an acting justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court. He moved to the New York County Supreme Court in 1989 and became a Supreme Court Justice in 2010.[1]
