Betty Richli

Betty Ann Richli is a judge on the Fourth District, Division Two of the California Courts of Appeal. She was appointed by Governor Wilson and, after her confirmation, took the oath of office on September 9, 1994. She was retained by voters on November 7, 2006.[1]
Biography
Betty Richli was born on July 16, 1945 in Trenton, Michigan. She graduated from Columbia Union College with degrees in English and history in 1967. She taught senior high school students for six years before going to law school in 1974. She received a law (J.D.) degree from Pepperdine Law School in 1977.[2][3]
Legal career
Betty Richli began her legal career in 1978 working in the City Attorney's Office in Redlands, California. That same year, she became a Deputy District Attorney in San Bernardino County. She held this position until 1985, when she was appointed to the San Bernardino Municipal Court. In 1990, she was elevated to the Superior Court, where she worked until her appointment to the Court of Appeal in 1994.[2][3]
