Bobbe Bridge
From Judgepedia
Bobbe Bridge was an Associate Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court from 2000-2007.
She was appointed to the court by then-governor Gary Locke, a Democrat, in 1999. She was subsequently elected in 2000 to her first full six-year term on the court.
In 2003, Justice Bridge was arrested for driving under the influence a mile away from her Seattle home, and was ultimately given a deferred sentence for drunken driving, while hit-and-run charges against her were dismissed.[1],[2]
She retired from the Supreme Court in 2007, becoming the founding president of the Center for Children & Youth Justice, a non-profit group funded by the MacArthur Foundation[3]
Her replacement on the court was Debra Stephens.
Before beginning her career as a judge, Bridge was a Democratic activist and ran unsuccessfully for the King County Council in 1987.[4]
