Boyce Ficklen Martin, Jr. (b. 1935) is a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Early life and education

Martin graduated from Davidson College with his Bachelor's Degree in 1957 and later graduated from Virginia Law with his Juris Doctor in 1963. [1]

Professional career

Judicial career

Norris was nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit by President Jimmy Carter on June 5, 1979 to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629 which was approved by Congress. Martin was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 25, 1979 on a Senate vote and received commission on September 26, 1979. Martin served as the Chief Judge of the court from 1996 to 2003.[1]
