C.C. Bridgewater

C.C. Bridgwater is the Presiding Chief Judge of the Washington Court of Appeals and a member of District II. He was appointed to this court in November of 1994[1] and was retained by voters in 1995, 1998[2] and 2004[3]. His current term on the court ends in 2010.
Biography
Judge Bridgewater received his B.A. degree in philosophy from Stanford University in 1966 and a law degree from the University from Texas at Austin in 1969. He is now married and has three sons.[1]
Legal career
Judge Bridgewater began his legal career doing consumer protection work with the Federal Trade Commission. After 3 years, he moved to Cowlitz County, Washington and worked there as a deputy prosecuting attorney for 2 years before entering the private practice of law. He focused on criminal defense, domestic relations and health care law in his practice. He was elected Prosecuting Attorney of Cowlitz County in 1986 and he worked in this position until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1994.[1]
