C. Jeffrey Kinder is a Superior Court judge in Massachusetts. He has served on the court since 2006. [1] [2]

Education

Kinder received his undergraduate degree in political science from Kenyon College in 1976 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981. [2]

Career

Kinder has served as an assistant city attorney from the city of Aurora, Colorado and also as a deputy district attorney and assistant U.S. attorney in the state. After moving to Massachusetts, he served as an assistant U.S. attorney, then went into private practice. He became a partner at a firm that concentrates on both civil and criminal proceedings. [2]

Federal recommendation

Kinder was recommended for a federal judgeship by U.S. Sens. John F. Kerry and Scott P. Brown on August 5, 2011. The recommendation was to fill a vacancy on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts left by Senior Judge Michael Ponsor.[3]
