C. Joseph Rehkamp
From Judgepedia
Charles Joseph Rehkamp is a senior Common Pleas judge for the Perry-Juniata County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.[1]
Judicial misconduct
On January 17, 2010, Judge Rehkamp was handcuffed and arrested after turning himself in for alleged spousal abuse. [2][3] He will not return to the bench for at least a week after the arrest, [4][5] and on January 20, 2010, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered him suspended from the bench until his case is resolved. [6] On February 16th, the charges were dismissed during a preliminary hearing, but the final decision rests with the Luzerne County district attorney’s office.[7]
A report by The Citizen's Voice found that Rehkamp is nearly half a million dollars in debt. [8]
