Cari Shaffer

Cari Shaffer is one of seven laywer members on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission which is charged in selecting Supreme Court Justices and retetnion and performance review in Colorado.

Shaffer represents Colorado's 5th Congressional District encompassing the Colorado Springs Metropolitan Area.

Background

Shaffer is a well-known business owner and community advocate in the Colorado Springs Metropolitan Area.

Shaffer is the President and CEO of Add Staff a technical staffing firm as one of the oldest in the State of Colorado and Shaffer founded the company in 1984 as a small business and grew the company to its current position today[1].

Supreme Court Nominating Commission

In 2004, Shaffer was appointed by former Colorado Governor Bill Owens to serve a four year term on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission[2]. Shaffer's term is set to expire on December 31, 2009. Shaffer is one of four Republican citizen members serving on the commission.

Shaffer is the founding chairwoman/president of four organizations in the Colorado Springs Metro Area:

  • The Better Business Bureau Foundation
  • Colorado Springs Human Resources
  • The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Women’s Council
