Charles K. Smith is the chancellor of the Fifteenth Judicial District in Tennessee ( Jackson, Macon, Smith, Trousdale and Wilson Counties). He has served in this position since 1990. In 2006, he was re-elected without opposition to his current term, which ends in 2014.

Education

Smith received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1970 and his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 1972.

Legal career

Smith worked as a private practice lawyer and city judge prior to becoming a chancellor in 1990.
