Christopher Dietzen is an Associate Justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court, a position to which he was appointed in 2008 by Tim Pawlenty, a Republican.

Justice Dietzen was born March 8, 1947, in Yakima, Washington. He earned his bachelor of business administration from Gonzaga University, Seattle, Washington in 1969 and his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1973.[1]

Dietzen was a member of the Minnesota Court of Appeals from 2004 until his appointment to the Minnesota Supreme Court in 2008. From 1978 to 2004, he was an attorney and partner at the Bloomington, Minnesota law firm of Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. with a specialization in complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate litigation and valuation disputes. He has been a Civil Trial Specialist, Certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association, 1988, and subsequently recertified in 1994, and a Civil Trial Advocate, Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, 1989; recertified in 1994.[2]
