Claiborne County is located within the Eighth Judicial District. The people of Claiborne County are served by a Circuit Court, a General Sessions Court, a Juvenile Court, a Chancery Court and three Municipal Courts.[1]

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee has jurisdiction in Claiborne County. Appeals from the Eastern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
