Cole A. Blease is a judge on the Third District of the California Courts of Appeal. He took his oath of office on June 14, 1979, after being appointed by then-Governor Brown. He was retained by voters on the November 7, 2006 and January 8, 2007 elections.[1] His current term expires on January 7, 2019.[2]
Education
Cole Blease received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1952, and his law degree in 1955.[3][4]
Legal career
Cole Blease worked as a legislative advocate from 1957 to 1974 and then practiced private law in Sacramento from 1967 to 1979. He has also served as a pro tem on the California Supreme Court. He used be a member and vice-president of the California Center for Judicial Education as well as a professor at UC Berkeley.[3][4]
