The Colorado Civil Justice League is a state-wide coalition dedicated exclusively to ending abusive lawsuits and creating a fair civil justice system in Colorado.

Overview

The CCJL believes in helping those with legitimate harms gain access to the courts, while at the same time protecting those who create jobs, innovate new technologies and provide needed goods and services from being tied up in expensive and groundless litigation. They seek to free state courts from needless litigation, lower the costs of defending against abusive lawsuits, and keep Colorado’s economy strong and vibrant. The organization utliizes amicus briefs in groundbreaking cases, judge and jury education, and judicial performance monitoring to further the goal of establishing and maintaining activist-free courts.[1]

Membership

Formed in 2000, the CCJL is open to individuals, businesses of all sizes, government entities, associations and non-profits. Members receive educational publications aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, exclusive invitations to legal seminars for employers, and regular updates on important news and trends in tort law.
