- Land grab dispute back at it (4/16/08) Boulder County District Court Judge James Klein is asked to reassess an "adverse possession" case. The plaintiffs previously captured a tract of land based upon the state's "squatter's rights" law. The defendants argue the land was erroneously tranferred.

- Colorado Supreme Court rules water district overdid growth estimates (10/29/2007) In Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District et. al. v. Trout Unlimited, the high court overturned a lower court ruling that had previously allowed the Pagosa Water District conditional water rights from the San Juan River. The court ruled that the local water authority had over-estimated the area's projected growth. "The water court must...make factual findings concerning whether the districts can and will place the claimed amount of unappropriated water to beneficial use within a reasonable time," wrote Justice Gregory J. Hobbs.
