Providence, Rhode Island: Judge Netti C. Vogel, a Rhode Island Superior Court judge, recently sentenced Central Falls City Councilman Richard G. Aubin Jr. to 2 years probation and $5,000. Aubin pleaded guilty to pocketing $5k after selling two cars seized by Central Falls police in drug raids. The money was supposed to go back to the city. Prior to his crime, Aubin worked at his family business, Quality Auto Repair, and occasionally sold seized cars for the city. Aubin will also resign from the City Council.[1]
