Court of Civil Appeals judge to run for Supreme Court
Alabama: After days of speculation, today Tommy Bryan will quell the rumors by announcing his candidacy for the Alabama Supreme Court in 2012. With a number of seats up for election, Bryan has chosen to run for the open seat of the retiring Thomas Woodall. 
Judge Bryan has served on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals since 2005, after defeating incumbent Sharon Yates in 2004. He was re-elected in 2010, to a six-year term. He is expected to announce is candidacy at 11AM today.
