Cynthia Aaron is a justice on the Fourth District, Division One of the California Courts of Appeal. She was appointed to this position by Governor Davis and took office on January 10, 2003.[1][2] Her current term expires on January 7, 2019.[3]

Education

Cynthia Aaron graduated from Stanford University with a degree in psychology in 1979 and went on the receive her law degree from Harvard in 1984. [1]

Career

Cynthia Aaron began her career as a trial attorney for Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. She worked there from 1984 to 1988. She went on to form the law firm Aaron & Cortez with one of her colleagues. In 1994, she was appointed as a Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where she worked until her appointment to the Court of Appeal.[1][2]
