Dan Detienne is a judge on the San Bernardino County Superior Court. He was appointed in December 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to succeed Michael A. Smith. Detienne must run for retention in 2012 if he wishes to continue serving. [1]
2012 election
Detienne ran for re-election to the Superior Court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Detienne was automatically re-elected.[2]

Education
Detienne received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton and his J.D. from Western State University College of Law. [1]
Career
From 1997 to 2005, Deitenne served as a deputy district attorney for the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office. He transferred to the same position in Riverside County from 2005 to 2007 before returning to San Bernardino County. [1]
